Construction Process

San Damiano College is a growing learning community, and our construction process reflects our commitment to providing purpose‑built, contemporary learning spaces that support student learning, wellbeing and belonging.

Since opening in 2021, the College has been developed through a staged construction approach, allowing facilities to grow thoughtfully alongside our student population. Stages 1, 2 and 3 of construction are now complete, providing high‑quality learning environments that support teaching, collaboration and student wellbeing. Stage 4 is currently underway, continuing the planned development of the campus to meet the needs of our expanding community.

Each stage of construction is carefully planned to ensure learning continues with minimal disruption, while new spaces are integrated safely and seamlessly into daily College life. Student safety remains a priority throughout all building works, which are managed in accordance with Brisbane Catholic Education requirements.

Guided by our Franciscan tradition, the design and development of the campus emphasise community, connection and care for the environment. Learning spaces are intentionally created to support creativity, innovation and collaboration, while reflecting the spirit of simplicity and respect that characterises San Damiano College.

As construction continues, each new stage strengthens our capacity to serve current and future students, ensuring San Damiano College remains a place where young people can flourish academically, socially and spiritually, today and into the future.
